How to import your TennisLink season into Court Squad
One sign-in on the real TennisLink site. Roster, schedule, ratings, results and existing RSVPs come in on their own — nothing to re-type, and it works mid-season.
TennisLink already holds your season — roster, schedule, ratings, results. Court Squad imports all of it with one sign-in, so there is nothing to type and nothing to keep in sync by hand. Here's exactly what happens, step by step, and what to do if something snags.
The steps

Install Court Squad and create an account
Get the app from the App Store or Google Play, then sign up with Apple, Google, or email. On the first screen, tap Set up my team.

Sign in to TennisLink, once
You sign in on the real TennisLink site with your usual USTA login. Court Squad never sees or stores your USTA password. The account needs to be the captain's or a co-captain's — that's what gives it access to the team.

One team at a time
Captaining more than one team? Import one now and add the others later from Team → Manage → Import a new team; you switch between them from the team name at the top of the app.

Let the season walk in
Your league and flight, the full roster with NTRP ratings and the contact info players listed on TennisLink, the home-and-away schedule with facilities, and every result already posted all come in. Availability your players have already entered on TennisLink comes along too.

Check the summary
You'll see a short summary — players, matches, results (or RSVPs) — before anything goes further. That's your first proof the import matched the right team.

Invite your team by text
The next screen drafts a text message with your team's join link for every imported player who has a phone number on file. Edit the wording if you like, keep the link, and send. Players who tap it land on the roster with their name already there — no forms. You can skip this and invite later from the Team tab.

TennisLink stays the source of truth. Scores are still entered there, and a re-import updates dates and roster rather than duplicating anything. Court Squad adds the parts TennisLink doesn't do: availability chasing, lineups with rule checks, home-match info, and team chat.
Switching mid-season
You don't have to wait for a new season. Because results and existing availability come over with the schedule, a mid-season import lands you exactly where you are — week six looks like week six. If your RSVPs live in a spreadsheet or another app instead, send the file to support@courtsquad.us and the data gets moved into Court Squad for you, free.
If something snags
- “The import didn't finish.” TennisLink stopped responding partway. Nothing was created and your password was never stored — tap Try again. If it repeats, TennisLink itself may be down; give it a few minutes.
- The TennisLink page comes back blank. Usually a slow connection. Wait for it to load, or tap Reload on the card that appears.
- “We couldn't find a team you captain.” The TennisLink account you signed in with isn't listed as captain or co-captain. Only the captain (or a co-captain on TennisLink) can import; a teammate can send them this page.
- A player's name or number looks off. It came from TennisLink as listed there. Fix it on TennisLink and re-import — the roster updates in place.
- Anything else. Email support@courtsquad.us. Replies come from the person who built Court Squad, usually the same day.
Questions
How long does the TennisLink import take?
One sign-in on the TennisLink site, then the season comes in while you watch. There's nothing to type. The summary screen appears as soon as the roster, schedule and results are in.
Does Court Squad store my USTA password?
No. You sign in once on the real TennisLink site — Court Squad never sees or stores your USTA password.
Can I import in the middle of the season?
Yes. Results posted so far and any availability your players already entered on TennisLink come over with the schedule, so you pick up where you are.
Will re-importing duplicate my matches or players?
No. A re-import updates dates and the roster in place. TennisLink remains the source of truth, so official schedule changes overwrite manual edits.
I'm not the captain. Can I import our team?
The import needs a TennisLink account listed as captain or co-captain. Ask your captain to run it — the captain page explains it in a minute — and join from the link they send.
Can I manage two USTA teams?
Yes. Import the second team from Team → Manage → Import a new team, and switch between teams from the team name at the top of the app.
